My Thanksgiving Food Thanks

Once upon a time, there was a woman who cooked for a huge family on Thanksgiving without ever stopping to think about where that food came from. And I am sad to say that woman was me.

So, my first food thanks goes to my loving husband who has bit by bit broadened my horizons about agriculture.

Then, I want to thank the beef producers, the poultry producers, the lamb producers, corn producers, soy producers, cotton producers, wheat producers, dairy producers, fruit and vegetable producers, rice producers, and the list goes on and on.

There would be little enjoyment in life without the bountiful products from all aspects of agriculture.

Agriculture is life.

Blessing on all the souls who work hard every day to grow and harvest the foods I love.

About McLerranMD

I am blessed to be the mother of three wonderful children, and I am married to Brian. Together with my husband and his father we farm several hundred acres in Moss, TN, where my husband is a 6th generation farmer. We raise Grass-Fed, Grain Finished Beef. We also raise squirrel dogs, horses, and currently 4-H pigs. In my day job I work off the farm as a doctor. I have run my own practice for the last 8 years, but I am changing jobs in January to that of a full time ED doctor. This will allow me to spend more time with my family.
