Today was a “shopping for the new house day”. And I never thought I’d say this but I am tired of answer questions about doors, light switches, plug placements, etc. etc. etc. I just naively thought that the house appeared with all that stuff.
Stupid uneducated me.
Well, today’s project was buying showers for the girls bathroom and the downstairs bath, buying a fireplace, and buying more PEX plumbing supplies. And you know what I have learned about my engineering farmer, he refuses to admit when he has bought more stuff than can fit in my suburban. Now I will admit, I didn’t empty out my truck like I should have, but I didn’t know we were buy all this stuff today. Lesson learned for me.
There is nothing more humbling than standing in the Lowe’s parking lot with your husband arguing and trying to stuff more stuff than will fit in your truck. In the end, he bought ratchet straps and strapped the shower base to the roof of my suburban.
What a morning.
