Oh blog, being a busy working mom and a farmer’s wife has kept me far to busy to post lately. It’s not that I haven’t had neat things happen, I have just been to busy and then to tired to write about them. So here are some pictures at least from this spring and summer.
Let’s start with my oldest turning 13!!! Yikes where did time go…
Then we were off with the Clay County trap team for a shootin match in Crossville. Had more fun…
Next it’s Clay County Fair Time, where my kids show cows and Cord showed a sheep in the pee wee class. Ella helped some of her friends show sheep too.
Now summer fair time is here so practice, practice at the barn and we got bunnies. Look Brie even got to practice driving the Yukon.
Next event TN state SCTP (scholastic clay target program) state shoot which was hot but a lot of fun. Ella got Intermediate Advanced Women’s champion. Way proud!!!
Next up for summer fun for the Diamond M crew was the Central region and state 4-H beef show. Now I could and probably should write and entire blog about cattle showing. It’s a world unto its self. I am proud of the work my girls are putting into to learning about their animals, breaking their animals, feeding and grooming, walking, fitting, etc. and I am so blessed to have a husband like Brian that helps them. Also, thanks to all our many friends who are helping us help them. We did better with our cattle got three 2nd place raised by exhibitor and one third but have to work harder on the skill-a-thon.
Then we come home at midnight to get up at six and leave to go to Ohio for SCTP nationals. Had a great time with the Clay County trap team and ate some great food.
Our next family adventure this summer was a day trip kayaking the Obey here at home. Fun even if it rained.
