If you have ever seen my instagram post, checked out who I follow on Twitter, or talked to me for more than five minutes- you should know that I love food. I love to eat food, to cook food, heck I even love to stalk my favorite chef’s and restaurants online. I don’t know where I got my love of food because I was a PICKY eater growing up. I thought a salad was croutons and thousand island dressing and I didn’t understand the concept of home cooking. I hear people talk or see my mother-in-law how they provided food up to three times a day for a family and I am like huh? I grew up with a family of four and my dad was gone a lot (small town country vet) and my mom – well she was a career woman. She can make great biscuits but other than that I thought the food groups involved Diet Pepsi, pop tarts, ravioli from Chef Boyardee, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. You could count all my ribs when I was little.
So now let’s fast forward a few years and as I have traveled with agricultural trips and for fun, I have truly embraced food. There is not a nite when I am home that FoodTV, Top Chef, Hell’s Kitchen or som kind of cooking show is not on. I read cookbooks for fun. I know tons of food triva. I am kinda weird.
So, I may change the tenure of my blog post from here on out. Still have my farm and love it but want to share a bit more of me and me loves food.
